About Me

Dr. Choudri Muzafar Paswal is a Neonatologist. He completed his DM in Neonatology (Gold Medal) at AIIMS Jodhpur, following his MD in Pediatrics from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and MBBS from Government Medical College, Srinagar. He basically belongs to Jammu and Kashmir, India.

With over 14 years of academic and clinical experience, Dr. Paswal has expertise in neonatal intensive care, neonatal neurology, preterm and neonatal nutrition, ventilation strategies, and early developmental interventions. He is certified in Prechtl’s General Movements Assessment (Basic and Advanced, GM Trust UK), equipping him with advanced skills in early detection of neurodevelopmental disorders. His key research interests include neonatal resuscitation, physiological cord clamping, and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes in preterm infants. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, authored textbook chapters, and is leading several ongoing research projects.

Dr. Paswal’s work has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Gold Medal by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (NEOCON 2024) and an award from the Government of Jammu & Kashmir (2022). He has presented his research at international forums such as the European Academy of Paediatric Societies (EAPS) and the Newborn Brain Society.
